Don’t Drink … Play!

If you like to have a drink every so often, keep your money out of the casino if you are going to do your drinking in a casino. I’m serious. Empty your evening bag, your money belt, and keep all money, credit cards and cheques back at the hotel. Grab whatever cash you intend to spend on refreshments, tips and few dollars you anticipate to lose and leave the remainder behind.

Cynical? Not by any means. Just realistic. You could experience a win after a drunken night out with your friends and be blessed enough to hook a marathon roll at a smokin craps table. Hang on to that adventure considering that it’s as short-lived as it gets if you continuously consume alcohol and gamble. These activities just do not mix.

Leaving your money back at the hotel might be a tiny bit drastic, but precautionary actions for dramatic behavior is required. If you gamble to win, then do not consume alcohol and play. If you like to burn your $$$$ without a concern, then consume all the no charge alcohol you can handle, but don’t take plastic credit and checks to throw into the mix of going after losses after your drunken head squanders everything!

Permit me to carry this one step further. Don’t drink alcohol and then hop on to the internet to play in your favorite internet casino either. I enjoy a drink from the comfort of my condo, but seeing that I’m connected through Neteller, Firepay and have credit cards in close proximity, I can not consume alcohol and bet.

Why? Despite the fact that I do not consume alcohol to excess, when I drink alcohol, it is clearly enough to blur my judgment. I wager, so I do not drink alcohol when betting. If you are more of a drinker, do not wager at the same time. When mixed, both create a ferocious, and costly, drink.
